Small but worth it’s weight in gold….
A NIGHT LIGHT!
Trust me. Three babies over the years, tripping over shoes, toys, cats, dogs, and my own feet. You need to have a night light in the hall and one in babies room, even if you install a separate switch on the wall for just it. No baby needs bright lights at 3am, nor does mommy…but mommy doesn’t need stubbed toes either.
Have fun with baby…they grow up way too quick.
I think you would only need one bouncer, and one floor toy thing. I only asked for one tub, it has the sling for the tiny baby, then it comes out for a regular bath tub when she gets older.
How about a swing?
and Car seat? an infant and convertible one.
Wipes, diapers, powders and creams.
A crib with bedding.
Bottles and Bottle warmer.
Clothes for all sizes. I asked for up to 24 month clothes, so now have quite a few sets of each size.
Socks and some shoes.
a car seat cover for winter/cold days(saves a lot of blankets for baby spit up)
lots and lots of diapers all sizes
i would take off the diaper genie bc to me its just an on going expense and i only used mine for the first 50 diaper changes and i just threw them in the trash…..
pacifier holder for car seat
good luck and congrats
wow u pretty much covered anything i can think of except electric outlet covers for when the babay is able to crawl towards them, um if you have stairs the one of those things that blocks the steps so the baby won’t fall down them. umm i’m sure as you go along you will discover what you need.
i think ur pretty much covered but you may need Electric outlets and if you are living in a two story house you may need one of those things to block the baby from going up and falling and well besides that i think you have everything covered
Wow. Looks like you got it covered. There are a lot of baby checklists out there, too. Just google it. Also, once the baby’s here, you’ll see what else you need or want. Good Luck!
wow, i don’t think you would need 3 bouncers! lol… anyway, don’t forget a little stuffed animal for the baby to cuddle with! other than that, it looks like your set!
You might try to find some baby chew toys, for when they start teething. They are very helpful.
Sounds good to me!!! Receiving blankets might be a plus though
y do you need 3 bouncers?
flannels nail clippers
books?
it seems good to me, bigger than my list was. good luck.
i think your over asking
It sounds like maybe you already have the infant carseat, so it can’t hurt to put one of the more expensive toddler ones on there…great as a group gift!
My daugher loved her jumparoo – maybe take off one of the bouncers and add that instead?
A travel highchair is good, one that straps right on the chair and has a tray built in for when baby is older
-and one “must” is a floppy seat – a covering for yucky shopping carts and restaurant highchairs that you can just toss in the washing machine after you are done.
-a boppy and boppy cover (if you are trying breastfeeding- if not the baby can rest in it propped up with you)
-a baby front carrier (like the baby bjorn) – or a sling so you can have your hands free.
Hope that helps!! Good luck to you!
Also, it’s great to put on a couple of gift cards because i know with my daugher, we spent many a trip in babies r us getting a lot of extras!
Maybe I’m a little on the conservative side…unless your baby is going to be spending lots of time at other places like grandma’s where she would need 4 floor activities and 3 bouncers, or unless you have a big 2-story house when you don’t want to lug these things up and down the stairs, I think one of each will probably do. Otherwise, you will just end up cluttering up your house with so many things you won’t use.
For things to add to your list:
diapers different sizes. At least 2 or so bags of Newborn and then some size 1.
instead of burp clothes, I would probably have clothe diapers instead. I used them as burp clothes, and they are much larger than a burp cloth.
Also, depending on where you live, how cold the weather gets, and when the baby is coming you may think of a cover for the carrier and a nice winter suit for the baby.
Do you plan on breast feeding or bottle feeding? maybe put formula on the list…that is expensive.
