Lots of soft little blankets for the baby to spit up all over your shoulder :) I made about eight of them by using an old flannel sheet, which was well worn and had been washed a lot, so it was already really soft. Then just hem them. Be sure it’s a washable fabric because you’re going to go through several of these a day and it will become your new fashion statement. You WILL find yourself half way to work with one still draped over your shoulder. If you’re in the car, you’re lucky. If you’re on the Tube when you realise, not so cool :) LOL

Your too organised lols. umm maybe a mobile for above the cot. I have everything the same as you too. I have a change table though with a inbuilt bath tub. Also i have a little play gym that i can put in the lounge room for bubba to lie in.

wow a great list, your a list lady just like me;). But you’ll always need things along the way. The only thing i could add is a swaddle blanket which my mum bought me at 2 weeks and it was a godsend, oh yeah and a grobag baby blanket for when you stop swaddling the baby. congrats and all the best!

it pretty much looks like you have the basics though. way to be prepared. make sure to have you bag for the hopital ready for when the big day comes

Well, Don’t use shampoo on a new babys hair, just warm water.
Not lots of clothes, babies grow quickly, very quickly.

Baby Monitor, you can hear the baby when he/she is asleep. even if he/she sleeps in your room at night, its best to have one.

  • its me says:

eh i think u might just have it all. i’m sure if you’ve missed anything you’ll realise it as u go along!

  • Stephani says:

if your like me you will have lots bought for you but I have found Gro-Bags are essential if you have a wriggly babe like me (use from 1th old. Blankets are ok if your babe can keep still at nite but if not…(TK Max have them for around a tenner)
Also, one item that that I used throughout pregnancy and still use now is a Pillow that I think is called a Wigget – its shaped like a quaver or a prawn!! I used it as an aid to help me sleep in the latter stage of pregnancy, to support my LO as I breast fed, my Lo uses it to rest, play and sleep on and now, at 5mth old uses it as a support to sit up. this is one item that has multiple uses. 9you can get one for about £25, but honestly its worth its weight in gold.
You are obviously excited, but try to get others to invest in items, they will get lots of enjoyment out of buying for your little one too.
